is a company specialized in aluminium products, starting from its early days as a supplier of reflector components for local Italian companies to its present position as a supplier to all the world’s major lighting system producers. This specialisation has led the Group to become one of the world's biggest producers of components for the lighting technology, solar energy industries and decorative market.

Research&Development

In the midst of rapid and continuous changes, technological innovation occupies an important position in the Almeco Group's strategies. Increasing global competitiveness and the demand for ever more refined products in terms of environmental-friendliness have stimulated the Almeco Group to devote a growing percentage of its profits to the development of new solutions.

This involves constant investment in the development of new products and production methods, which improve the products’ reflective qualities and the efficiency of surface treatments using eco-friendly technologies.

The internal Research and Development department, highly specialized in metal treatment technologies, is engaged in a continual process and product development involving internal tests and research programmes, combined with collaborative work, involving a network of universities and private Italian and German research centres specialized in material sciences, surface treatments, electrochemical processes, physical and chemical analyses, corrosion and material protection.

Almeco also works closely with Milan's Polytechnical University (in the Departments of Chemistry, Materials, Chemical Engineering and Physics) and believes in regular meetings with its clients and suppliers for the development of new projects and applications.
